The mixture of sulfides is chemically attacked with an aqueous oxidizing solution of fluosilicic acid for dissolving the metals present. From said solution, the lead, and optionally the silver, is reprecipitated to the state of sulfates which are separated from the filtrate containing the other metals. It is then possible to recover separately the different metals by treatment on the one hand of the precipitate of sulfates and on the other hand of the filtrate, by conventional processes. The attack solutions may be recycled.
