The subject of the invention is an improvement made to sockets for TV peripheral-unit connectors. In order to reduce as far as possible the quantity of material constituting the socket, the cost of this material being non-negligible, and in order to reduce the weight of the said socket, the body of the latter is perforated at 5 and 6 on either side of the housings 4 which are provided for receiving the contacts of the corresponding male connector. The references 1 and 2 designate the known means for fastening the socket, which means themselves are provided with weight-reducing cavities 7 and 8. <IMAGE>
