The patent application "Feeding device for feeding core laminate stacks to a core laminate welding machine" indicates a novel solution for feeding and assembling laminate stacks as preparatory steps of a welding operation. In this case, two laminate stacks are inserted (in an arrangement offset through 180 DEG C) tangentially into a coil former which is located on a rotary-cycle device. Thus, in the case of this solution, it is possible with the aid of only one rotary-cycle device to insert the E-shaped stack (which is required for manufacture of a transformer) into a coil former and press the I-shaped laminate stack onto the E-shaped core laminate stack.
