An operating arrangement for a pivotable window 17 in a glass roof supported by beams 10 with lateral flanges 12 comprises a pneumatic piston assembly 20 which is mounted on one of the beams 10, which delimit those sides of the window opening, which are at right angles to the hinge axis 19 of the window and are parallel to the body part of the beam 10. The piston rod 21 of the piston assembly 20 is connected to a support element 22 made of anti- friction material.
