A shaft guide device, also designated as guide rail by persons skilled in the art, can at the same time also be used as a supply line or as a disposal pipeline, since the profiled bars are designed as rectangular hollow bodies closed all round and are connected to one another at the abutting surfaces in a sliding, sealed-off manner. The individual profiled bars are fastened as hitherto to buntons, brackets or the like. Pipe lengths overlapping the joining area are provided between the individual profiled bars. The pipe lengths are arranged so as to slide one inside the other and are effectively sealed off from one another by O-ring seals. In this way, the profiled bars can safely absorb movements due to the shifting shaft or the like without their tightness being put at risk. <IMAGE>
