PURPOSE:To secure the safe traveling when an air-pressure system fails, by installing a steer-lock cylinder for engaging a rotatable push rod with a chassis, onto a sleeve connecting with a knuckle control arm fixed onto a rear-wheel shaft. CONSTITUTION:When an air-pressure system for spring steer-lock cylinders 26 and 27, namely for an air tank and an air pressure pipe fails during the traveling of a truck, each pressure in the cylinder chambers 84 and 85 of the cylinders 26 and 27 lowers. Therefore, push rods 11 and 12 are pushed-out by springs 13 and 14, and the self-training type steering rear-wheel shafts 17 and 18 are set into steer-lock state. Therefore, when the air-pressure system for the cylinders 26 and 27 fails, the steering rear-wheel shafts 17 and 18 are always set into steer-lock state, and in particular, the safety in traveling and the steering performance in high-speed traveling and in retreat are prevented from being injured, and safe traveling is permitted. |
