PURPOSE:To improve the system throughput and to eliminate the delay of the action due to the double control by accessing commonly plural disk drives with one instruction from the disk access object. CONSTITUTION:A disk control device converts the reading data of the bit serial received from a drive (DRV #1) and a drive 2 (DRV #2) to the data of the byte unit by respectively corresponding serial-parallel converting devices 8 and 9. Thereafter, based on the data and the sector address of the heater part accompanying respective seek actions of the drive 1 (DRV #1) and the drive (DRV #2), the purpose sector is individually detected and judged for respective drives (DRV #1 and DRV #2). When the purpose sectors are respectively detected, a data request DRQ of the corresponding drives (DRV #1 and DRV #2) is sent to a precedence control circuit 14. At such a time, the detecting processing of the purpose sector position at the time of the seek of respective drives (DRV #1 and DRV #2) is separately executed respectively by having two pairs of the exsisting detecting circuit.
