PURPOSE:To achieve a stable free wheel operation by an FET by driving the freewheel FET by a pulse signal of reverse phase to a driving pulse signal of a main switching element of a converter. CONSTITUTION:A DC current from a DC power source 1 is turned ON, OFF by a main switching element 2, fed through a main transformer 3, further rectified by a rectifying diode 5, smoothed by a smoothing circuit 4 having a choke coil 7 and a capacitor 8, and then supplied to a load resistor 9. A driving circuit of a freewheel FET 6 connected with the secondary coil 4 of a main transformer 3 consists of a controller 13 and a driving transformer 10. The tertiary winding 12 of the transformer 10 is connected between the gate and the source of the FET 6, and the secondary winding 11 of the driving transformer 2 is connected as a driving signal source of the element 2 in a reverse phase.
