PURPOSE:To eliminate a trouble due to mechanical operation and to obtain an image forming range display device with good responsiveness by mounting a liquid crystal display device,where a copiable range is indicated, on a copiable range indicating part. CONSTITUTION:An indicating device 2 on which liquid crystal display devices 5 and 6 are mounted is provided for the purpose of indicating a copiable range in the direction orthogonal to the scanning direction, and a liquid crystal display driving control circuit which drives and controls this device 2 is formed. Consequently, the device is made electronic to improve the reliability, and the noise is prevented, and momentary display is made possible. A marker which indicates the copiable range in the scanning direction is added to a carriage, which scans an exposure lamp, to obtain a scanning carriage 4 with marker 4, and this carriage 4 is moved and controlled in accordance with the contents of an original by driving a stepping motor or the like. |
