The use of (partial) esters of polycarboxylic acids as viscosity-reducing agents in aqueous coal slurries, and aqueous coal slurries

The use of (partial) esters of certain aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic polycarboxylic acids with alkyl-, (alkyl)-phenylalkyl- or alkyl-aryl-substituted phenolpolyglycol ethers of the formula <IMAGE> as viscosity-reducing agents in aqueous coal slurries leads, in a desirable manner, to coal suspensions of particularly low viscosity.
