PURPOSE:To obtain the dynamic stability of an electromagnetic transfer characteristic of a head by mounting a pad that presses a floppy disc on the cores and the sliders of heads facing each other on each head. CONSTITUTION:The head 1 that is in contact with a floppy disc 10 from the downward direction is the head of side 0, and the head 1 that is in contact with the floppy disc 10 from the upward direction is the head of side 1, and at a sliding plane 8 of each head 1, pads 5 of corresponding heads 1 face with each other. Therefore, when the floppy disc 10 is inserted between the heads 1 and 1 at the side 0 and the side 1, the floppy disc 10 is pressed at the sliding plane of corresponding head 1 with the pad 5, and the contact between the floppy disc 10 and a core 2 can be performed securely. Therefore, no space between them is generated, and the read and the write of the bits of information can be performed with high density, and thereby, the dynamic electromagnetic transfer characteristic can be stabilized.
