A flange connection (10, 11) is proposed for the connection of ceramic pipes, which consists of two clamping rings (14, 15 and 30) which are pressed against in each case one flange (20, 21 and 32 respectively) of the ceramic pipes (12 to 13) by means of a tensioning device (16 and 35 to 39 respectively). A sealing ring (23) is placed between the end faces (22) of the ceramic pipes. <IMAGE>
