The invention relates to a process for the treatment of liquid manure, in which the liquid manure is heated, the liquid manure to be treated being heated at least to a temperature corresponding to the boiling temperature of the water contained in it, and the steam generated being conveyed away from the liquid manure to be treated and being cooled at least to condensate temperature.
