发明名称 METHOD OF FORMING RETURN SPRING MOUNT HOLE IN DISC BRAKE FRICTION PAD
摘要 PURPOSE:To form a concave groove as a return spring mount hole simply and at a low price by forming a concave groove on the friction material fixing surface of a back metal, disposing a backplate in such a manner as to cover the concave groove, and fixing the friction material in such a manner as to bury the backplate therein. CONSTITUTION:A friction pad 10 comprises a reinforcing back metal 12 and a friction material 18. A pair of spring mount holes 20 are formed near both right and left end portions of the pad 10. In case of forming the above mount holes 20, first a concave groove 14 of a designated shape and size is formed on the friction material fixing surface of the reinforcing back metal 12. Subsequently, a backplate 16 formed of a material excellent in thermal resistance is disposed at a position for covering the concave groove 14, and the molding of the friction material 18 and fixing to the back metal 12 are performed. A space formed between the back plate 16 and the back metal 12 by the concave groove 14 is completed as the above mount hole 20. Thus, the need of machining and machining tools for forming a hole can be eliminated, and the mount hole 20 can be formed simply and at a low price.
