The title compds. (I) or its acid addn. salts are prepd. by reacting (II) with formamidine, ammonia or its salt. R, R1 and R2 are lower alkyl; R'=H or Me; R"=H or lower alkyl; Q=H, OH, amino, cyano, carbamyl, carboxy or amino carbamyl; Q'=H or cyano. (I) are useful as cardiotonic drugs. The rxn. performed in the anhydrous condition. Q is carboxy and carbamyl compds. are produced from hydrolysis of Q is cyano compds., if necessary.
