PURPOSE:To eliminate the defects observed in the case of using gelatin as a binder for a photosensitive layer and to obtain a color copying having high resolution, high gradation characteristic and high sensitivity at a high speed by using a PVA having a specific degree of saponification as the binder for the photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The PVA having 80-90mol% degree of saponification is used as the binder for the photosensitive layer. The PVA which is low in hydrophilicity makes the production of an emulsion for the photosensitive layer difficult if the degree of saponification exceeds 90mol%. Such is, therefor, undesirable. On the other hand, the PVA having <=80mol% degree of saponification causes the problem of the flow of the photosensitive layer during washing in a developing or bleaching stage and is, therefore, undesirable. The PVA having 80-90mol% degree of saponification is preferably used at a ratio of 30-80pts. wt., more preferably 50-70pts.wt. by 1pt.wt. azo dye in the photosensitive layer. |
