PURPOSE:To prevent drop-out on a copy picture by dividing an original into two areas to copy it on copy faces different from each other if a designated original size has prescribed relations to the original size for preceding copying. CONSTITUTION:If the designated original size has prescribed relations to the size stored in a storage means, the original is divided into two areas, and original images corresponding to individual areas are copied on copy faces different from each other. That is, a scanning optical system 10 is scanned from a home position P to the first return position corresponding to the terminal of an original 0 for the purpose of copying of the first area and is returned to the home position. Next, the scanning optical system 10 is scanned to the second return position corresponding to the center of the original 0 for the purpose of copying the second area and is returned to the home position P. By a series of these scannings, the first area and the second area of the original 0 are copied on copy papers different from each other or on both faces of the same copy paper divisionally. |
