PURPOSE:To improve erase precision by arranging plural first light emitting diodes on one face of a substrate constituting an erasing array and arranging plural second light emitting diodes on the other face while shifting the second light emitting diodes from the first light emitting diodes by a half pitch. CONSTITUTION:A wiring board 151 is provided in the lengthwise direction in an erasing array 150, and plural first light emitting diodes 152a are directed to a photosensitive drum and are arranged at a prescribed pitch on one face of the wiring board 151. The second light emitting diodes 152b having the same shape as the first light emitting diodes are arranged at the same pitch as the first light emitting diodes 152a on the other face of the wiring board 151 while being shifted from the first light emitting diodes 152a by a half pitch. That is, the first and second light emitting diodes 152a and 152b are arranged zigzag. Thus, light emitting diodes are arranged at the same pitch as a conventional device and the arrangement pitch as the whole is reduced to a half to improve the erase precision. |
