PURPOSE:To reduce quench strain while saving the consumption amount of electric power, when a carburized work is cooled and introduced into a quenching step, by performing the quenching work concurrently with the completion of cooling without passing it through a holding step. CONSTITUTION:A door 14 is opened, a work is charged into a charging vestibule 10 by a pusher 19, and the door 14 is closed. In succession, a pusher 20 is forwarded, a door 15 is opened, the work is transferred to a zone 11 for carburization (diffusion), and the door 15 is closed. When carburization is completed, a pusher 21 is forwarded, a door 16 is concurrently opened, the work is transferred to a zone 12 for quenching and cooling it, and the door 16 is closed. After lowering the temperature is completed, a pusher 22 is forwarded, a door 17 is opened, the work is transferred into an oil cell 13, and the door 17 is closed to perform quenching. Accordingly, a working process can be contracted, and operation efficiency is enhanced. |
