PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive resistant electrically conductive material having improved positive temperature coefficient characteristics only by easy kneading operation, by incorporating a specific polyethylene with carbon black in a specific proportion. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive resistant electrically conductive material obtained by incorporating (A) high-density polyethylene having double bonds at the molecular terminals and >=2.5dl/g in decalin at 135 deg.C (obtained by polymerizing ethylene in the presence of hexavalent chromium as a catalyst at 130-160 deg.C under 18-35kg/cm<2> pressure) with (B) carbon black, e.g. oil furnace black, thermal black or acetylene black (having preferably 0.01-0.1mu particle diameter) in an amount of 25-60wt% based on the total amount of the components (A) and (B). The resultant material produced by this method is effectively utilized as temperature detectors, self temperature control heating elements, etc. |
