PURPOSE:To facilitate the cleaning of a sensor and to apply a jam processing by providing the 1st guide forming an original path detachably from the 2nd guide member, supporting a contact unmagnification sensor to the 1st guide member so as to release the sensor. CONSTITUTION:An original 1 is guided by rollers 2-5 at picture reading and carried by a carrying roller 7 and a picture is read by the contact unmagnification sensor 6 while being moved along the original path formed between guide members 15, 16. The read picture information is sent to a recording head 9 and recorded on then recording paper 8 sent by a platen roller 10. The member 15 is fitted freely turnably by a pivotal shaft 15a and is detachable from the member 16. Even when the original 1 is jammed, the processing is simplified by disconnecting the member 15 and even when the sensor 6 has dirt due to paper powder, the sensor is easily cleaned.
