PURPOSE:To recognize simultaneously the relation between the content of a program and the program rating by displaying the result of the survey of program rating of the program changing timewise while being superimposed on a reproduced picture of a video tape recorder video-recorded at program broadcast. CONSTITUTION:A computer 1 controls a video tape recorder 8 to reproduce the recorded program. In this case, time information reproduced via a MODEM6 is received and picture data displaying a graph being the result of the survey of program rating is generated synchronously therewith. A video signal reproduced by the video tape recorder 8 and the picture data from the computer 1 are subjected to superimposing processing by a superimposing circuit 10 and the result is displayed on a television monitor 11. The second signal reproduced by the video tape recorder 8 is inputted directly to a television monitor device 11. Thus, while the content of video recording is reproduced and displayed on the television monitor device 11, the result of survey of the program rating and a graph representing its timewise change corresponding to the picture are displayed on the picture.
