PURPOSE:To promote the improvement of machining accuracy, by protrusively providing supporting bars in a spindle head while fitting a support member to be mounted to said supporting bars and supporting the other end side of a tool, whose one end is mounted to a main spindle, by the support member. CONSTITUTION:A tool 3 of end mill or the like fixes its one end side to be fitted and mounted to a main spindle 2 in the bottom part of a spindle head 1, and two supporting bars 5, 6 of different length are protrusively provided in parallel to each other, further in parallel with an axial line of the tool 3 in a fixed part 4 in the upper part. While a support member 7 both forms holes 7a, 7b, fitted to the long and short supporting bars 5, 6, in a corner part and mounts an acceptance stopper part 8, fitting the other end side 3a of the tool 3, in the rest of the corner part. In this way, a machine tool, in which a free end part of the cantilever tool in stably supported by the support member, enables machining accuracy to be enhanced by increasing rigidity of the tool and preventing its flection and vibration before occurrence. |
