PURPOSE:To shorten preparation time and gear cutting time and reduce related man-power by conducting simultaneous gear cutting on two gears, which are on the same axis line of a work driving unit, by means of two pairs of cutter driving units located at the both sides of the gears a under the control of an NC controlling equipment. CONSTITUTION:A work 10, which is to undergo gear cutting, is mounted on a headstock 7 and rotated by a motor 11, while a cutter 18 is mounted on a tailstock 9 side and rotated by a motor 19. And turning of both are controlled for synchronization by an NC controlling equipment. When gears, doubled in different positions, are to be machine-cut, cutters 18 and 18a are controlled so that both are in a certain amount of phase-difference with each other. Next, an oscillating slider 6 is given reciprocating motion by a main motor 22 via an eccentric board 23. Rotation of the motor 22 is transmitted to a cam shaft 24, and a relief cam 25 makes a table 15, which is energized all the time, go backward, thereby accomplishing a relief to the cutter 18. Similarly, a cam 25a makes a table 15a go backward, thereby achieving a relief to the cutter 18a. Thus, double gears can be machined at the same time. |
