PURPOSE:To enable a developed color image with excellent chemical resistance and favorable fixation property to be easily obtained through heating, by combining a specified divalent metal salt of an organic acid, a formazan color former and a color formation accelerator. CONSTITUTION:A heat-fusible divalent metal salt of an organic acid, a formazan color former of the formula, wherein each of R1 and R2 is a subst. or unsubst. alkyl, oxyalkyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl, R1 and R2 being capable of forming a heterocyclic ring together with the nitrogen atom, Z is 2-pyridyl or benzothiazole group and R is a haloalkyl, unsubst. or alkyl-subst. cycloalkyl, aralkyl, haloaralkyl, aryloxyalkyl, -COOR3 (wherein R3 is hydrogen or a lower alkyl) or a group having -COOR3, and a color formation accelerator which has a catalytic effect on the reaction of the metallic salt and the color former in a molten state are combined with each other. An image obtained by sing this combination has excellent chemical resistance, and is not decolored even on making contact with a polar organic solvent or the like. In addition, color development at a non-image part will not occur even when the non-image part is brought into contact with an acidic solvent. |
