PURPOSE:To attain tuning to a lower frequency band or plural frequency bands without increasing the size by providing a rod where a conductor is placed in spiral or on a hollow rod insulator so as to act it like a loading coil. CONSTITUTION:A counter 8 is plated on the surface of an insulator 9 of the loading rod 4 and the conductor 8 is exfoliated in spiral by the method of etching to form a coil. Further, the conductor 8 is coupled electrically with rods 3, 5 by the contact and since the frequency band is low at the VHF band of a TV broadcast, the rods 3, 5, 5, 6 and 4 act like an antenna. Since the frequency band is high in the UHF band, the rods 2, 3 are disconnected electrically by the rod 4 and only the rods 5, 6 act like an antenna. In providing the conductor 8 in spiral, the coils act like the loading coil, the size of the antenna is not increased and the tuning to a low frequency band or plural frequency bands is attained.
