PURPOSE:To clamp a pallet via the vertical motion of a mobile body and improve machining efficiency by fitting a work to the pallet at a waiting position, moving the pallet, lowering it above a work table, and clamping it on the table. CONSTITUTION:When machining of a work on a pallet 18A is completed, a pallet support section 15 is lifted, a support arm 14b is coupled with the pallet 18A, and it is lifted until a positioning pin 41 is disengaged from a positioning bush 42. Next, a sway motor 30 is operated to sway an arm 31 from a position A to a position B, a turn body 14 is turned 90 deg. to move a pallet 18B at a waiting position S1 to above an indexing table 6 and the pallet 18A to a waiting position S2 simultaneously. When this turn is completed, the turn body 14 is lowered, the lower face of the pallet 18B is positioned, the turn body 14 is mounted on a pallet 26 and further lowered to release the positioning of the pallet 18B, a presser metal 16 presses the upper face of a lower flange 18B, and the pallet 18B is clamped on the indexing table. |
