PURPOSE:To make operation and control easier by performing the vertical moving, opening, and closing operations of the rake arm of a traveling type dust cleaner by the combined use of a motor with brake and a liquid-pressure cylinder for raking. CONSTITUTION:Screen residues deposited on a screen 2 fixed at a right angle to a water channel 1 are raked up by vertically moving a rake 6 attached to the tip of a rake arm 5 provided to a truck 4 running on rails 3. The rake arm 5 is then allowed to come near the bottom of the water channel 1 by operating a motor 15 with rake and a liquid-pressure cylinder 9 for raking. The rake 6 can thus be always held horizontally by the action of a fluid- pressure cylinder 22 for tuning.
