PURPOSE:To improve the external appearance of an open car having an opening and closing roof opened by enlarging the opening range of said roof with an amplifying mechanism and setting a hinge and a pivotable device below a parting line between said roof and an opening of a car body. CONSTITUTION:A pivotable device T for opening and closing a opening and closing roof J attached through a hinge S to an opening E of a car body formed in a car body roof portion C in provided with an amplifying mechanism for amplifying an opening and closing stroke amount with a required rate. And the hinge S is located below a parting line between said roof J and said opening E. As a result, the external appearance can be improved when said roof J is opened to provide an open car.
