PURPOSE:To excavate a cliffy ground to a fixed slope by a method in which an excavator with an exciter is hung down from the boom of a crane, etc., and the exciter is vertically vibrated to apply vibration to the excavator. CONSTITUTION:An excavator, consisting of an exciter 1 for vibro-hammer, a steel plate flat chisel 2, a chisel tip 4, and fins 5 and 6, is hung down from the boom 10 of a crawler crane, etc., and guided to a cliffy ground face A, and the exciter 1 is operated. The cliffy ground A is struck by the flat chisel 2 and excavated to a fixed slope B. The excavator with the exciter 1, hung down from the boom 10 of the crane, the exciter 1 is vertically operated to apply vibration to the excavator. The cliffy ground A can thus be excavated to a fixed slope B.
