PURPOSE:To reduce thermal influence on an engine by arranging between right and left backs of cylinder rows an air suction manifold having two chambers communicated via air suction pipes to each air suction port and by securing below them a space for routing fuel feed pipings. CONSTITUTION:A suction manifold 3 mounted on a horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine consists of two box-shaped chambers 3a's arranged on the right and left and communicated with each other via a suction passage 3b arranged in the center, and suction pipes 3c's integral with the box-shaped chambers 3a's and leading to each cylinders. This makes it possible to form a space below the suction manifold 3 and above the engine body, with the shape of the space being conical when seen from the front and extending longitudinally. Near the both ends of fuel feed main pipe 11's connected via fuel feed pipes 10's to each fuel injection nozzle 9 arranged at each cylinder, are connected fuel feed pipes 12a's and 12b's routed within the said space so that they are communicated with a fuel circulation system. |
