PURPOSE:To attempt prevention of a torque shock and improvement in the fuel consumption and the running performance as well by restraining the operation of auxiliary machines driven by an engine synchronously with detection of air fuel ratio shifting to the lean side, so as to reduce the load to the engine. CONSTITUTION:Oil in an oil pan 1a is sucked up by an oil pump 2 linked with the operation of an engine 1, and is fed to each section of the engine 1 through an oil gallery 3 which is communicated with a pressure relief valve 4. And a controller 5 determines the quantity of fuel injection based on engine speed, intake air quantity, the throttle opening and the like outputted from respective sensors so as to control an air fuel ratio. In this case, when the air fuel ratio is required to be changed over to the lean side, a pressure relief valve 6 which is separately provided to the oil gallery 3, is actuated by the controller 5. This lowers the oil discharge pressure so as to reduce the load to the oil pump 2. |
