PURPOSE:To make the continuous feeding of manuscripts possible by keeping the carrying or the delivering roller of a reversing device rotating in a carrying direction even during the reversing operation of the inside and outside of the manuscript. CONSTITUTION:Gears GI, GI' united with a shaft (d) receiving reversible driving force from a motor M and gears GII, GII' meshing with the gears GI, GI' are provided in a driving device. A pulley with an one-way clutch locking only when the gears GI, GI', GII, GII' revolve clockwise or gears (a), (b), (a'), (b') are also provided. In addition, unidirectional turning force is transmitted to shafts (c), (d') through a timing belt BO engaging the gears (a), (b), (a'), (b') or a gear GO. The above-mentioned constitution therefore makes the continuous feeding of manuscripts possible.
