PURPOSE:To detect the speed and a position by two sensors based on the difference component and sum component of a magnetic flux and to remove the distortion or the like of an object to be detected by providing the two sensors for detecting magnetic flux generated by eddy currents of the object to be detected. CONSTITUTION:Two E-type cores 2, 3 are arranged on approximately symmetrical positions through a conductive object 1 to be detected and coils 6, 7 are wound around the center legs 4, 5 of the cores 2, 3. DC exciting current Iex is supplied into the coils 6, 7 in the arrow direction, so that DC magnetic flux phi1, phi2 mutually turned to the reverse directions are generated on the center legs 4, 5 and the side legs of the cores 2, 3 and penetrated through the substance 1. Eddy currents Ie1, Ie2 determined by the dielectric constant of the substance 1 is supplied into the substance 1 and magnetic fields -phive, phive are generated by the currents Ie1, Ie2.
