PURPOSE:To shorten the time required to set a ID characteristic to each terminal control part by performing the ID setting process between a main control part and respective terminal control part without any intervention of manual operation when a characteristic code ID for specifying a terminal control part is set. CONSTITUTION:When a permit signal (H level) is inputted to a terminal control part 2(i) through a signal line Li-1, IDi information on a circuit 10 is inputted to the terminal control part 2(i) and then while its acknowledge statement is sent out to the circuit 10, the permit signal is outputted to a signal line Li at the time of its rising. On the other hand, new ID information is sent out to the circuit 10 successively from the main control part 1 every time the acknowledge telegraphic messages falls. This process is carried out in order and when an end signal (H level) is inputted from a terminal control part 2(n) to the main control part 1 through a signal line Ln, it is recognized that the ID setting process is completed.
