METHOD FOR MEASURING MOISTURE OF LIVESTOCK DUNG

PURPOSE:To calculate an exact moisture content by measuring the weight of the sample of livestock dung contg. moisture at a high ratio then continuously heating the sample at a high temp., changing over the heating to adiabatic heating when the weight decrease of the sample falls to an approximately specified ratio or below and suspending the heating and calculating the moisture content of the sample at the point of the time when the weight decrease is substantially zero. CONSTITUTION:A moisture measuring instrument 1 which quickly and exactly detects the moisture content of the livestock dung to be charged to a composting facilities and digitally displays the numerical value thereof heats the sample A of the livestock dung disposed in the upper part continuously in the high-temp. state and changes over the heating to the adiabatic heating to decrease the weight at the point of the time when the weight decrease of the sample A falls to the approximately specified ratio. A heating and drying chamber 2 which can stop the adiabatic heating at the point of the time when the weight decrease by the adiabatic heating is nearly zero and a weight measuring chamber 3 which measures the initial weight of the sample A and the weight after the end of the continuous/intermittent heating operation and feeds the detection signals thereof to an arithmetic circuit 4 are segmented and provided in superposition to constitute the device.
