PURPOSE:To save battery energy by providing a refreshment control circuit for a power failure indepedently of a refreshment control circuit in a memory controller. CONSTITUTION:If a power failure occurs, a power-failure detection signal showing the power failure is applied to a power-failure-time refreshment control circuit 21, for example, in a memory refreshment device 20, so a power-failure-time control signal from the circuit 21 is sent via a line L6 to a refreshment signal selecting circuit 22 and a memory address selecting circuit 24, which are both placed in power- failure mode, thereby outputting a refreshment signal from the circuit control 21 through the selecting circuit 22. |
