PURPOSE:To shorten the recording time of documents by storing picture information in the form of the gradation information having plural levels of variable density to binary-code the gradation information and to display the binary-coded pictures and therefore recording the information on a seal impression list by a single scan and under the optimum conditions. CONSTITUTION:Read signals sent from a seal impression list reader 4 are converted into a digital picture (D picture) of 16 levels of gradation by an A/D converter 10. The D picture is stored temporarily in a memory 11 and binary-coded with the optional threshold value. This binary-coded picture is displayed on a CRT 6. Thus it is possible to display a picture binary-coded with the optional threshold value via a comparator 9 with operation of a threshold value setting key on a keyboard 5. |
