PURPOSE:To prevent rocking and to improve a vibration proofing effect by a simple device, by providing a floating floor slab on which a press machine is installed, on a floor slab whose thickness is large, through a suitable cushion material, and also selecting properly their inherent frequency. CONSTITUTION:The vibration proofing device of a press machine 1 is constituted by providing a floating floor slab 6 on which the press machine 1 is installed, on a floor slab 7, through a cushion material 8 such as glass wool, rock wool, vibration proof rubber, a belleville spring, a wire spring, etc. Also, in said vibration proofing device, the primary inherent frequency of a floating floor system is lower than 1/2 of the inherent frequency of the working force of the press machine 1, the primary inherent frequency of the floating floor slab 6 is higher than the primary inherent frequency of the floating floor system, the thickness of the floor slab exceeds the thickness of the floating floor slab, and also a dynamic loss coefficient of the cushion material 8 is set to >=0.1. In this way, a large-scale work is not required, and also in a state while the stability of the press machine 1 is held as it is, the vibration can be efficiently reduced.
