PURPOSE:To obtain a grinding lubricant for the super-finishing of bearing, having excellent grindability and rust-proofing property as well as initial grindability, cleanability and filterability, by adding specific amounts of a specific oil or fat, an oiliness improver, an extreme-pressure additive and a rust preventive additive to a mineral base oil. CONSTITUTION:The objective grinding lubricant can be produced by compounding a mineral base oil with (A) 0.5-20(wt)% oil or fat having a melting point of <=15 deg.C (e.g. cottonseed oil, bran oil, rapeseed oil, soybean oil, castor oil, palm oil, etc.), (B) 0.5-20% oiliness improver, (C) 0.1-10% extreme-pressure additive (e.g. chlorinated paraffin, chlorinated fatty acid ester, terpene sulfide, alkylpolysulfide, thiocarbamic acid salt, acidic phosphoric acid ester, etc.) and (D) 0.1-10% rust preventive additive. EFFECT:The lubricant is odorless and gives excellent surface finish. |
