PURPOSE:To prevent noise from being generated from a sound cast means at an alarm time by detecting whether a ratio set is tuned to a prescribed station or not at the alarm setting time and outputting an alarm sound such as chime when not tuned. CONSTITUTION:When the alarm setting time is arrived by time elapsing after a prescribed time is inputted, a high level signal is outputted from a coincidence detection circuit 18 to a power supply circuit 5, which is turned on an a radio reception circuit 1 is operated. When the radio reception circuit 1 is operated, a tuning detection circuit 15 detects whether or not the prescribed ratio wave of a broadcast station inputted from an antenna 6 is selected surely. Further, a voice output detection circuit 14 confirms whether or not an audio signal is outputted from a low frequency amplifier circuit 12 surely. When both circuits 15, 14 confirm surely the radio wave tuning and the output of the sound signal, a radio broadcast is given from a speaker 3. When no high signal is outputted from both circuits 15, 14, a chime is given from the speaker 3.
