PURPOSE:To reduce the loss of light of an optical system by forming one of the 1st and 2nd mirrors arranged under a glass plate as a plane mirror and the other as a concave mirror. CONSTITUTION:Since one of the 1st and 2nd mirrors 4, 5 is a plane mirror and the other is a concave mirror, illuminating light from an original is reached a photosensitive body 8 from the 1st mirror through the 2nd mirror and the image of the original is formed on the irradiated position. The distances of the 1st and 2nd optical paths are adjusted by controlling the positions and reflecting angles of the concave mirror and the plane mirror to expand/reduce the original image on the photosensitive body. When the respective plane mirrors and the concave mirror are formed by evaporating aluminum on the surface of each resin plate e.g., their reflection factors become almost 100% and the quantity of light of the original image on the photosensitive body is not absorbed and reduced by respective elements of the optical system. Consequently, the optical system reducing the loss of light can be constituted without using lenses.
