PURPOSE:To produce the titled tube having the circularity and a less tendency for generating a warpage, a high quality and a high accuracy with good efficiency by effecting the gelation of a sol put in a cylindrical vessel while rotating said vessel around the axis thereof followed by filling up a liquid in a space of said vessel and by standing up vertically said vessel. CONSTITUTION:The gel obtd. by hydrolyzing an alkylsilicate is put in the cylindrical vessel, and said gel is effected the gelation, while rotating said vessel around the tube axis to form a cylindrical gel. And then, the liquid contg. the sol component such as a mixed solution of ethanol and water is filled in the space of said vessel followed by standing up vertically said vessel and after the cylindrical gel is shrunk, the obtd. cylindrical gel is taken out, dried and sintered. |
