PURPOSE:To make pressure-contact force of a sheet keeper adjustable without using a special member, by rotation a sheet guide having a regular interval with a circumferential surface of a sheet feed roller, while pressing the sheet keeper with its end part, and making the pressure-contact force to the roller so as to be weakened. CONSTITUTION:When a recording sheet's edge is turned up or it is conveyed with a pin tractor feed system, if a releasing lever is operated and a sheet guide member 5 is rotated in a rotation downstream direction of a feed roller 1, an end part 5d of this rotated guide member 5 comes into contact with a sheet keeper 10, pressing this keeper in a (b) direction. In consequence, pressure- contact force between the sheet keeper 10 and the roller 1 is weakened to the extend of 0-5g/cm<2> or o, and a pinch roller 8 runs on a releasing part 7c where a releasing cylindrical part 8b rotates, whereby its pressure-contact with the roller 1 is released. Therefore, the recording sheet is feedable along a circumferential surface of the roller 1 without any resistance, and truing-up the sheet or the like is performable in good operating conditions. Here the pressure-contact force between the sheet keeper 10 and the roller 1 is variable at will adjustment for turning value of the sheet guide member 5.
