PURPOSE:To perform the intermittent feed of a sheet in an accurate manner, by installing a sheet holding member in a drag roll, notching a pull member to the extent of a position where tensile force to the sheet will not act, and at the inlet side of a pull roll. CONSTITUTION:A pull roll 11 drawing out a sheet 3 is constituted of a drag roll 27, installing a suction roll 26 and a pull member 22 in a part of the circumference, and a sheet holding device 28. These suction and drag rolls 26 and 27 are rotated at constant speed by a motor in an arrow direction. The suction roll 26 attracts the sheet 3, by suction, at constant pressure in space of an angle beta where the sheet 3 is rolled on. the sheet 3 is pulled by the pull member 22, but when it comes off the pull member 22, the sheet 3 is applied with a brake, thus the suction roll 26 slips. Next, when the pull member 22 of the drag roll 27 comes into contact with the sheet 3, the sheet 3 is pulled again. In addition, the sheet holding device 28 is installed at the inlet side of the suction roll 26. With this constitution, the sheet 3 is intermittently feedable in an accurate manner.
