PURPOSE:To execute reproducing operation simultaneously with recording operation to check the recording operation instantaneously by following a recording pattern scanned by the 1st preceding magnetic heads and reproducing the recorded signal by the 2nd magnetic heads for monitoring during the recording of a signal by the 1st magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The 1st magnetic heads 2a, 2b scan the surface of a magnetic tape 3 in the arrow HD direction to record signals and form video tracks Ta, Tb on an unrecorded part T of the magnetic tape 3. To reproduce the recorded signals immediately during the recording of signals by the 1st magnetic heads 2a, 2b, the 2nd magnetic heads 8a, 8b follow the 1st magnetic heads 2a, 2b and scan the newly formed video tracks Ta, Tb. In such recording, since the recorded signals can be reproduced almost simultaneously with recording, the recording status can be checked. |
