Batteries with magnesium anodes - having magnesium perchlorate electrolyte and manganese dioxide depolariser

Battery consists of an assembly of Mg anodes coated on one side with a conductive varnish and supporting on the other a separator and a depolariser. The assembly is bound together with adhesive tape and coated with wax. Pref. compsns. are: electrolyte 2N aq. Mg(ClO4)2 to which may be added sodium or lithium metaborate to pH 11, depolariser 85% MnO2, 10% carbon black, 3% BaCrO4, 1% Mg(OH)2. The electrolyte may be added during production.
