PURPOSE:To prevent a vehicle from being stolen by enabling an input through an electric or a mechanical input means while providing a control circuit for receiving only the mechanical input means once a storage battery is disconnected. CONSTITUTION:A change of password number judging means 10 outputs a signal to a password number writing means 17 when a vehicle is stopped while when a system operation/non-operation setting means 6 is operating due to an output signal from a mechanical key 1 or a key board 2. This writing means 17 writes a new password umber into a password number memory 18 and, after this, the suitability of the input is judged based on this number. The password number is erased from this password number memory 18 once a storage battery is disconnected. Accordingly, if the battery is disconnected to stole the vehicle and, then, connected to apply a power source and start an engine, the power source will not be applied except by means of an input from a mechanical key, prevent the vehicle from being stolen. |
