PURPOSE:To discriminate automatically whether an attaching position of a light receiving sensor is correct or not by providing a discriminating means for discriminating whether an attaching position of a detecting sensor is situated in an output area of a code signal on a picture or not and an informing means for informing the discriminating result. CONSTITUTION:The code signal 2 such as a character, a video transmitted to a television receiver 1 is projected on the CRT face plate 3 of the television receiver 1. When a commercial video transmitted from a broadcasting station is projected on the face plate 3, the signal 2 is outputted to a part of the face plate 3. When reading the code signal 2 by using a signal reader 100, the code signal 2 is outputted to an output part 102 as the character and the video through a converting part 101. Then, when the signal reader is attached to a P area of the face plate 3 and the code signal is read correctly, the state is informed and when the reader is attached to a Q area of the face plate 3 and the code signal cannot be read correctly, an information function is not operated. Thereby, a correctness and error in the attaching position of the sensor with respect to the face plate can be grasped. |
