PURPOSE:To shorten the time for printing and transmitting by providing a monitor control means scanning an original without printing reproduction and transmission and a means selecting the printing reproduction and the transmission or a monitor control. CONSTITUTION:A line sensor, etc., are moved in terms of subscan in an original longitudinal direction to read out the overall original area. Based on coordinates where data changes from a white level to a block one, the position of the original is detected, and its inclination is detected from a degree of parallel. The density and size of the original are decided from the level of read-out data and the coordinates on the original, and data is stored at an address corresponding to a command in a memory. A CMD gives sense to necessary original information according to a command through a tenkey, decodes in order to select a read mode for stored information, and an oblique data, a density data, an original size data, a designated magnification and original size readout recommended cassette data out of a memory. Then each display displays them by flickering. prior to starting transfer, the original may be independently scanned and monitor-controlled. Thus the processing time can be shortened. |
